Why us rear suspension making a noise when car is cold

Frustrating as it is, the steering and suspension - front and rear - should be checked for worn parts. Even subframe fasteners should be checked for proper torque. Shock mounts can also make noise and may not be able to be lubricated. Noises are impossible to guess at in this forum; hands on / "ears" on testing is needed.
