Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Camaro. When a transmission loses function after warming up, it can point to contaminated or incorrect fluid or internal issues with components like the transmission pump, clutch packs, or solenoids. As the fluid heats up, it thins, which might be why the transmission stops responding when warm. Check the fluid level if you haven't already; it should be at the proper level and free of burnt or dark discoloration. If the fluid level is correct, it's likely a sign of internal wear, and a transmission specialist can help diagnose further. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
