My car seems to like to idle very low at red lights, it takes a long time to start, sometimes needing the accelerator pressed to start up and after waiting 2 or more minutes stopped at a light, if I turn right or sometimes even going straight it likes to stall out. I've been told several different options but my dad seems adamant that its my Throttle Body, he unplugged a sensor from the Throttle Body and it idled fine, when he plugged it back in it resumed the low idle.

Sounds like dad might be right! two different sensors come to mind quick. The throttle positon sensor (TPS) and the Idle air control (IAC) I would bet the one he is unplugging is one of these. I would go ahead and replace that sensor to start. Good Luck!
