What is your question?
all the sudden the temperature went almost all the way up and the dipstick for my oil is half way up the dipstick

Hello, the oil should never be checked with the engine running or just after stopping the vehicle. Now, if you stopped the vehicle, let it sit an hour, cleaned off the dipstick and checked it to find it is halfway up the dipstick -- then sure, there's something going on there. Either fuel or coolant has mixed with the oil to increase the level. But, I don't think that's what's going on here. An engine that is overheating can get that way from several possible causes. First, an engine thermostat may stick causing the engine to be starved of needed coolant flow. The engine cooling fans may not be operating as needed, causing the temperature to go up -- especially when idling at a stop, or driving in start and stop traffic. Those are the two main causes, but there are other possible causes too -- such as a water pump that is not pumping water and even internal engine coolant leaks from a cracked head, cracked block or breached head gasket. But all that is way too down the road -- check the obvious areas first and I'll bet you'll find your cause there. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
