This question in addition to your overheating / oil high level question. The problem is -- more so -- we don't know what you've done to the car other than the two sentences you shared in the other question. No idea what you spent "a lot of $" on -- these are major clues that can help us give you good advice. However, a local shop near you is the only one that can really help, as they can see the car hands on and give you real world advice, not guesses and theories based off of minimal information. There's always that tipping point -- how much money spent on a car is too much? You may have reached that point already, too hard to know, and it's always perspective and opinion. What you're willing and interested to do and how much you love the car. Consider, though, that the car is 24 years old now. As cars age, they require more maintenance and repair. Plus, technology for safety and performance and fuel economy is also several generations behind. We love our old cars, but are they really the safest and best for us? It's all up to you of course. Good luck. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
