hi my 1987 camero 5.0 t.p.i. Engine has good compression starts right up but it knocks what could it be thx.

check oil pressure. if it's low, then it sounds like a thrust berring around the crank. if it's a high pitch knock that gets louder with rpm gain, then it's a connecting rod berring.
