ive recently had the dash apart to fix the defrost diverter. i hooked up my camper and a few mile down the road i could smell electric burning. when i got home i noticed the fuse for the door locks was blown. iv since had the dash back apart and replaced the door lock relay. worked fine for a week until i hooked up my camper again. which blew the fuse within 15 miles. ive disconnected the brake controller the cig. lighter ports. and the fuse blows as soon as i put one in (gone as far as 30a)

must be short to ground on the camper wiring if it only does it when camper is hooked up.look the camper over real good for hot wire, cut and touching metal somewhere.and don't put over sized fuses in there or may catch something on fire!
That was only the start of the problem. The plug on the camper does need to be replaced. There is still power on the ground circuit of the door locks. I've disconnected all of the door locks at the jams. I took the plug off at the convenience center the fuse won't blow and there is 12v on the ground wire. From there it goes up into the dash into a larger group of wires.
