I replaced the compressor on my truck 2 years ago and it is making a loud noise only when the clutch is engaged. Can the bearing on the pulley assembly be noisy only when the clutch is engaged. I would really like to not have to replace the compressor again if it can be avoided. I replaced the compressor in 2018 and it started making the noise in 2019. I did not run the AC last summer but started using it this summer and the noise is louder. I was told that I need to replace the compressor and the Dryer/Accumulator, is this the case?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing that I can find except turning the AC off
