What is your question?
I have a 94 chevy v6. My engine will turn but will not start. My distributor is perfect and spark plugs are good. I checked every basic thing for answers but nothing. What is the problem
What makes this problem better or worse?
It backfires when it finally starts and shuts off.
How long has your 1994 Chevrolet C1500 had this problem?
A week now

Hello, Look on youtube, find a method you are comfortable with for testing the ignition coil, and test away. Also, listen for the fuel pump to run, and see if it is spraying into the throttle body.
Re-check PLUG WIRE firing order - CLOSELY inspect distributor cap and rotor for ANY SIGN of cracks. Spark should jump a 1 inch air gap from coil wire to metal ground. Spark plug wire should exactly the same!
wires crossed? copy and paste the links below. https://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f8025ecdd http://www.fixya.com/cars/t5632670-firing_order_diagram_4_3l_v6_chevrolet
Tips are for > Engine starts - back fires then turns off: Also - ‘IF’ distributor has been removed - possibly incorrect ignition timing. To check for fuel delivery problem - carefully add 2 oz fuel ‘into’ throttle body - try to start - DO NOT depress gas pedal while testing!
