in my driveway I have transmisson fluid center of truck what's the cause

thanks i tried to be more specfic the last time I drove the truck the 2 wheel drive automatic tranny shifted hard felt like drop an go parked it next moring a pool of trans fluid on driveway right where the cab an bed meet would that be the front or rear seals on driveshaft a little confused thx
