tight u-turn steering tire stutter

What is your question?

Every time I make a tight turn/u-turn I get a jump kind of stutter (stuttering jump, jump, jump) in the steering/tires. Like maybe hitting a patch of ice then dry ground as the turn is made. It's continuous as I make the turn. But it happens every time I make a tight turn now on any surface. And it just became a constant thing recently. Are the ball joints trying to pop out of the sockets? Thanks It's a 1993 Chevy 1/2 ton.
