90 c1500 4.3 wont start. New fuel pump, filter, relay, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and distributor module. Hoping pushrod can tell me what to do next.
What is your question?
As I was driving it kinda sputtered a couple of times at road speed, like a fuel filter with trash in it. Then it started running like a plug had gone bad, then it lost power and cut off. Everything but the valve stem caps are new. Lol. Please help
What makes this problem better or worse?
New parts haven’t changed anything. It sounds the same as when it does. Turns over great but won’t start
How long has your 1990 Chevrolet C1500 had this problem?
Two days. Have replaced everything I can think of by reading old pushrod posts

I checked for spark at the plugs but haven’t checked the coil wire yet. I have spark at the plugs. I will check the coil wire after work tomorrow. I don’t have anyone to turn the truck over for me or I would do it right now. Thanks for the help pushrod
*Very carefully* add a small amount of fuel to the throttle body - try starting engine.
IF engine starts or attempts to start - problem is within the fuel delivery system.
IF engine does not respond to added fuel - problem is within the ignition system.
[ There is still the distributor pick-up coil that may be the culprit ]
▪️ While engine is cranking - spark from coil should easily jump a 3/4 inch air gap to a metal ground - you should get that same spark from plug wires ▪️
I did have help for a few minutes yesterday and it is spraying fuel into the throttle body. I will try adding fuel when I do the coil spark check tomorrow. When you say ignition system are you referring to the distributor, or the timing? Thanks
Yes - I read that part - I still need to know the results of the spark test as stated above.
Spark should be blue in color and produce an audible pop while testing.
A sick yellow spark that will not jump a 3/4 inch gap is totally insufficient!
Possibilities include weak failing ignition coil - OR - the pick-up coil inside the distributor.
Good luck!

Do the spark test as stated and post results.
I did replace the module that is under the distributor cap as well
