Looks like ive had some mice problems under the hood. Parked it there running fine and now wont crank. Swapped battery(old one had a bad cell) I see a single wire chewed in half, coming out of a small bundle at the rear of the engine compartment. It is a black with yellow stripe and cant find where it goes. Any ideas and how do I proceed?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1999 Chevrolet C1500 Suburban. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Pushrod you think i could locate other end but no luck. Im assuming that has something to do with no crank. Was hoping someone could help with a wiring diagram showing where that single wire breaking out from a small bundle ( Black with yellow stripe) terminated.
Unfortunately we can’t post images on this site - that’s basically what a wiring schematic is.
Exactly what is vehicle year make model & engine - need specifics.
What’s posted here is contradictory ..
Yes it is a 2004 C1500 suburban. the drop down menu only went to 1999, so i chose that just to post. 5.3L V8 OHV 16V FFV. Has remote auto start function.
Try this - it covers your vehicle :

Now you’ll have to look around but there’s some very good images in those wiring schematics.
Good luck !
