What is your question?
My hubbys 98 suburban trans stopped shifting. I found a new 2wd reman trans for only 350 less than 20k on it. Hubby's nephew works at trans shop he went to him cuz our converter wouldnt fit new trans a coworker learned hubby just had surgery on his brain to remove 2 abscesses caused by mrsa that we had no ins. A dead truck put us in supreme financial dire straights he offered to donate his time to take the insides out of the new 2wd trans and put them into our 4wd trans nephew n the coworker said by moving guts to other it solved converter issue cuz could use one had The owner after hearing the situation told them if it was after closing so didnt interfere with paying cust and no money was being pocketed they could do the work at the shop free of charge. They rebuilt it n dropped it off another mechanic installed it flushed lines it ran like a dream this was in jan last week truck wouldnt go into OD only 1. 2, n 3rd gear removed pan found metal in pan n filter completely clogged up
How long has your 1998 Chevrolet C1500 Suburban had this problem?

I don’t quite understand the situation exactly - however if you’re asking if the “garage” can be held responsible in any way the answer is NO.
