What is your question?
The ring and pinion gears locked up on me. I decided to replace the whole rear end instesd of just the gears. After i installed it truck wkuldnt go anywhere when shifting to drive. I tried 2nd gear and it went but made a whinning7noise when it first started. After i get on the freeway i can shift it to 3rd and overdrive. If i have to stop i must shift down to 2nd again. Is this a torque converter problem ???

Hello, replacing your rear axle / differential should not affect in any way the transmission operation. It is possible that when the rear axle locked up per your description that it could have caused other damage to your drive train due to the stress on the transmission. It sounds like far more than a torque converter problem.
Couple of questions: Is this vehicle all wheel drive / four wheel drive? Is the replacement differential ‘gear ratio’ identical to the original??
Yep - that makes a difference! ... IF 4x4 - be certain 4x4 is not engaging inadvertently. BECAUSE: IF front and rear differential gear ratios are not the same - vehicle will refuse to move!
