do the fuel pump sending unit cause the fuel gauge to not respond until you raise the rpm or start the vehicle to moving.

the fuel guage will not register at all sometimes. then when you move it register right. later when you start again it shows empty for awhile then it register right
Hey Kenneth, Before you do anything, add a bottle of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus, It has an additive that cleans the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank, and it may address this, and for $15.00 it's a very inexpensive attempt that will only help, not hurt anything.
