2002 blazer 4 wheel Drive 4.3 L V6 sluggish dies at lights really rough idle hard to start now it won’t start at all

replaced plugs wires cap rotor and distributor and still dying lights every time I slow down the engine dies it runs smooth when I first started it still jumps with a loud choking sound somethings killing my battery all this after I replace the head gasket on one side with rocker arms rods and manifold from a 1998 gmc jimmy 4x4 4.3 vortex also just the one side could my timing chain be stretched or is my cam at risk
