4wheel drive wont engage

All chevy vehicles are notorious for transfer case problems. The gear sleeving on the inside sheers and the metal fragments from it will clog the gears so they will not engage. There is a show on speed called truck u that I learnt that from cause my s-10 was doing the same thing and turns out that that was it.
