What is your question?
Issue started this winter the first time I tried to use my 4wd. 2h works fine but 4hi and 4L.
How long has your 2000 Chevrolet Blazer had this problem?
this winter

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your Blazer’s 4x4 light is coming on but it’s not engaging, the issue could lie with the transfer case motor or the vacuum actuator system—classic culprits for these trucks. The transfer case motor (or encoder motor) might be stuck or faulty, failing to shift into 4WD even when the button is pressed. Meanwhile, a broken vacuum line or actuator (found under the battery tray) might not be engaging the front axle. It’s like flipping a light switch with a busted bulb—it looks like it’s working, but nothing’s actually happening.
