transmission shifter locked in park

Pop off the shift lock black button and insert key or small screwdriver into slot. You should be able to shift it into another gear and drive, But it won't fix it, so call the dealer. VERY FRUSTRATING!

take it to the dealership and have them replace the gear shift entirely. They will give you a new set of keys, your main set and emergency set. You will have to give them the old sets back because the old gear shift will be no good when they replace that. It will cost you $300 or so to get it replaced.
