Daytime running light out also low beam headlights . What would cause this and are there separate bulbs for both?

Yes. They seem to be okay. Isn't it unusual for both R & L to go out at same time?

no not at all. actually it is common. typically if u replace one bulb the rule of thumb is to replace both!
