its a 2005 and a wiring line to front air vent is disconnected can i fix it or do i have to go to a mechanic?

the fan was loose i was possibly backed into theres scratches on bumper and another piece loose and i thought just to have to re attatch fan properly but then checked all fuses seemed ok so then followed all tubes/wiring that is attached and theres 1 that is appx a foot under battery on front drivers side and it has a tube like piece split off with 2 wires coming out plastic stripped to wiring one connected in a front part to a metal rectangle part with a screw with a white plastic box surrounding it the one directly opposite it behind it the plastic was broken off in two half pieces the wiring was out sitting in a spring but not attatched into the space as the one in front of it. not sure if has to be done by a mechanic or can get husband/brother/ son to do please advise

What makes this problem better or worse?

the fan isnt going car sounds like race car loud on acceleration gets warm fast short trips

How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Aveo had this problem?

fan loose could be a few weeks found that piece off just last weekend
