dash cluster went out

Don't recall where the wiring issue was at but the mechanic we took our 2005 aveo to said it was fairly common and he had it fixed in less than an hour. Headlights would be on but instrument cluster light, dome light, Or running lights (just on the passenger side) would randomly not work. It was like playing roulette to see if they would all work or which wouldn't
