popping and creaking sound in the front suspension area

Radu, A good front end steering and suspension inspection is in order to determine what is causing that noise. I would bet on upper strut mounts or something like that causing the noise that you are hearing.

I have that too and that might be the shocks for sure. That happens when you go over bumps etc. And I hear it a lot, but that comes with the territory I think. You might have to get the shocks replaced, but it could also mean that the car is getting old.
