My 1995 Astro Van 4.3 will crank , but not start. Then minutes later it will?

Engine cranks won't start . Go out and tap the relay and it clicks and cranks. Is this a wire problem? A short in the line? New pump 2 years back. Intermittently this will crop up, but not becoming all too frequent. Do I need ana automotive shop that specials or soes wiring, electrical?
