What is your question?
An exclusion warranty; 5 years 60,000 miles for $3998. And also a road hazard warranty; 3 years unlimited miles $998. I will be getting a 2018 XT5 with 27k miles and I'm wondering if those warranties are reasonable and necessary! Thank you!

No a necessity imo - plus there are so many hidden omissions as to what is actually covered. ‘Road hazard’ certainly covers a very broad area which needs to be closely investigated. Read the fine print.. I can’t give you a true unbiased opinion - I have never acquired an extended warranty - maybe I’m just too skeptical.
Hello, the prices of these warranty coverages -- even if comprehensive in nature -- are highly inflated. Should you choose to purchase them, it would be beneficial to you to negotiate them a little more closer to reasonable in price. For "Road Hazard" - consider how much a tire would cost if you had to purchase one, and then consider how many times that would have to happen for you to hit the threshold of the cost of the coverage. A final question I would have: Do the coverages purchased limit you to servicing specifically with the dealership? Or any repair facility or other dealership? Some insurance policies restrict repairs to the selling dealership. Good luck!
I have never had a problem getting to at least 100k miles on any of my automobiles - therefore I’ll take my chances without the extra warranty. Additionally - Before making a decision you should consider the ‘factory warranty’ is still in effect on this vehicle. Good luck!
