above the passenger door is a mechanical mechanism that has wore a hole in the trunk closing cable (bad design) that is leaking fluid when closing the trunk. Is there a fix for this or does this cable have to be replace?

I own a shop specializing in Cadillac and Corvette. We have fixed this issue many times. But, the hose will need to be replaced and fluid topped off. Due to the special tools required for the hose retention clips only dealers and specialists usually perform these repairs.
