What is your question?
I also had a yellow "lock" indicator, but I was able to start the vehicle by pressing and holding the accessory button for about 5 seconds. I looked on the internet and the opinion was that it was a battery problem, so I attached another battery with jumper cables to no avail. Maybe that is the "charging fault" warning? This all started with my CD player going haywire. It was trying to eject a CD and it created some vibration, which probably triggered the anti-theft, which then I could not restart my 2005 Cadillac XLR.
What makes this problem better or worse?
don't know, it just happened
How long has your 2005 Cadillac XLR had this problem?
It was in storage, brought it home, problem occurred in my garage

I would suspect that you have a charging system issue, such as that with your alternator. If the alternator is not charging the battery to maintain proper needed reference voltage, it will not start or allow then vehicle to operate properly. The bypass you utilized doesn't resolve anything. Seek professional guidance to check your charging system, battery capability and voltage and related operation. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me
