New battery car won't start and the check engine light stay on in on position

Hello, Look in the owners manual to identify where the key should be placed when it is not recognized. GM likes to use a spot inside the console bin. Once identified, place the key where it can be recognized by the vehicle, and follow the instructions in the owners manual. It should only require that you place the key there, start the vehicle like normal, and possibly change the key battery (though I don't think the battery is low)
