What is your question?
I drive a 2006 Cadillac STS 4 4.6 liter v8, I need to replace the catalytic converters on both sides but the catalytic converters are welded to the exhaust manifold. can I access the exhaust manifold from under the car or do I need to pop the hood? I removed the engine cover and I don't see the manifold do I need to remove more things to expose it?

Hello, the catalytic converters on this vehicle are indeed part of the exhaust manifolds. They are accessed by removing the heat shields for each. This is not an easy job and is quite time consuming. If you are asking questions like the ones in your post, it's best you leave it to a professional to repair. You will likely repair mostly underneath the vehicle, but may require hood access as well.
