i changed the battery and now the ac will not blow in the front vents, only defrosters and rear works how can i fix situation

Escalades are great vehicles, but when the battery gets changed, it almost always causes the air conditioning air vent blend actuator to get confused. Two options: After you change the battery, 1. Turn the key on but don't start the engine. Turn the air conditioner OFF. Turn the key OFF. Remove the fuse for the air conditioner. Wait about 5 minutes. Reinstall the fuse. Wait 10 minutes and have a beer. Turn the key to ON and wait about 2 minutes. Crank the engine and turn on the air conditioner. If this hasn't fixed the problem, repeat. 2. Have the dealer reset the actuator with their scan tool. I have had this problem several times and this procedure normally takes care of it. Once I had to have the dealer do it. A good dealer won't charge you anything for resetting the actuator.
