Starting car noise

When I crank my car here lately it makes a screatching noise after it cranks like I tried to start it while it is already running.

your air conditioner belt could be it , try turning off a/c before starting it

the gear contact between the starter and the flywheel. after a period of time, wear happens on these items. have a shop check it to see what part is worn, the starter or the flywheel. roy
