ok this is always fun because it is kinda covered ! it is at the drivers side of the front head slightly lower than the valve cover you may want to wait till the enging cools off and drain aprox 3 to 4 quarts out then remove the hose with pliers or 5/16 socket yea you can use a screw driver but it takes too long ,, then remove the hose clean the hose where it connects to the water neck then take a 13mm socket with a 2 inch extension remove the bolts carefuly and then the water neck clean the old gasket very clean but not with screwdriver use a fine abrasive if nessary on both parts then rember how the thermostat was positioned in the water jacket .. replace with new gasket and a small amount of sealer '' I use a 3/16 drill in the wide flange 3 equal places to prevent over heating due to a failed thermostat it also brings the engine to operating temp and holds better ,, an auto bahan trick I learned while racing in Europe, (no need to burp! the system) reverse the process and refill with new coolant this is a good op, to flush the system ..
