Hello Curt, this is Tony from Advanced Auto Clinic in Delavan. What I recommend you do is have the check engine light diagnosed. The cause can be many things, some of which may not directly effect the performance of the vehicle. Just clearing the codes is not a fix to a possible problem. We have a complimentary inspection available which includes scanning for codes. The inspection is no cost to you. We go through the entire vehicle and provide a health report. The complimentary inspection does not include any diagnostic time but it will give us an idea of the possible problem so we can advise you from there. Feel free to give us a call, we'd be more than happy to help you out. Our direct number is 262-728-2944, we look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Tony Lynn
THANY YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE,, WHERE IN DELAVAN ARE YOU LOCATED ?? THE LAST TIME KUNES "RAN" THE CODES THEY CAME UP WITH A $1600.00 ESTIMATE TO DO EVERYTHING EXCEPT EMPTY THE ASH TRAYS, IE; CATS--O2 SENSORS--PLUGS & IGN MODULES ETC ETC.. I DECLINED THEIR GRATIOUS BS OFFER. THE MECH TOLD ME NONE OF IT WAS NECESSARY..JUST EMISSION BS.. BUT I AM TIRED OF LOOKING AT THE @#$%$# LIGHT. CURT P.S. THE CAR RUNS FINE, REASONABLE MILEAGE EVERYTHING WORKS. THE CAR IS SPOTLESS AND I LOVE IT.. ALL BLACK--NO CHROME.
