Hello, Check your oil before starting the engine again. The cooling system is self purging, and requires only to be filled as air escapes. Use a scan tool, and read the OBD trouble codes from the vehicle, and post them here for analysis. Also, if there are air bubbles popping up constantly into the coolant reservoir or the radiator, while the engine is running, you probably have a head gasket issue. If the oil looks creamy, or if a combustion gas test kit (available at auto parts stores) shows there are combustion gases in the coolant, bad head gasket, head, or block. The best case scenario is that you installed a new-but-bad thermostat. Are you sure all of the cooling system components were installed properly? When does it overheat? how can you keep it cool? Does your heater work? Did the radiator flange break off into the radiator hose? Do all of the coolant hoses get warm, including the heater core?
