Where is the fuel filter located and how is it changed?

My car runs great, after just short time it gasps and dies. after a while it might start, has taken couple of days to start. Again, can go a few blocks and dies again. Think is fuel filter, have had two fuel injectors & heat sensor replaced but still doing same thing. when put on machine, no codes come up.
