I lost gauges then a few days later dash lights then would not keep running. After a few days they all worked again for a very short time. Now same problem
What makes this problem better or worse?
Don't matter cuz it won't run .shuts off after about 5 seconds
How long has your 1996 Cadillac Eldorado had this problem?
It came and went then now is back

Hello, it honestly sounds like an electrical power issue, such as from a battery / charging system that does not have sufficient amperage or voltage to power the various electronics of the vehicle -- including the engine's processor. It's a totally wide open guess, however, without hands on inspection and doing a little rudimentary troubleshooting. Best I can do is suggest some shops near you: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
