1996 Cadillac Eldorado AC stops cooling.

What is your question?

Info center says "low refrigerant compressor off. Checked refrigerant and was completely charged. Unhooked ground wire to battery to reset codes and ac cools normally for maybe as much as 2 to 3 weeks or as short as a couple hours; at which time it displays 'Low refrigerant compressor off" warning. Unhook battery ground wire and cools fine for another 2 hours to 2 or 3 weeks. Suggestions?
