Cadillac Deville, 2005: Heating system goes dead within a minute of the engine being started. On shutting off engine and restarting the heating system comes back on but stay on only for a minute. When heating goes off all the system (defrost, ac, etc) is out No noise or leaks observed from the car
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, are you speaking of the blower not working at all? Or are you speaking of it only blowing cold air?
Hello the entire Climate Control panel goes blank and none of the controls work. The next time the car is started the panel comes back on for a few seconds. Not enough time for the blowers to kick in.
It is very likely that the unit itself internally has an issue. As long as it is continuing to receive power, there's not much you can do to repair the unit. It will likely need replaced. If it were some sort of power supply issue, I wouldn't expect it to work even briefly, It just wouldn't power at all.
