Water pump

Hello, why would a leaking water pump -- if that's even confirmed to be the failure -- be an indication of a failed engine? Do you have any reason to believe you've sustained internal engine damage from some kind of extensive engine overheating? I don't hear anything in your story that concerns me, but obviously if there's more to the story, share it. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
