The power steering works fine when driving but when slowing down to park or when sitting still at idle it is very difficult. I had the fluid flushed and am thinking the power steering pump needs to be replaced?

Sounds like the pump. Is the pump making noise at idle? t idle not pumping enough to operate properly. Fluid low? I change ALL my fluids yearly. Power steering, brake, anti-freeze, spark plugs. Tranny every other with 4wheel drive transfer case fluid.
Thank you for the quick reply. The pump is quiet, no leaks, no bubbles, no whine, no squeal and I had the fluid flushed. I do notice that when it warms up to operating temp the steering is harder at idle and parking.
