What would cause my 02 cadillac Seville to overheat once in awhile

Hello, if driving the vehicle seems to cool it down, it could be that overheating happens mostly when the vehicle is stopped. This can be caused by engine cooling fans that are not turning on to force air to cool the coolant in the radiator when not moving.
