radio will not work

The radios do go bad but before replacing it you can check the fuse located on the back of the radio. Some Cadillac models have a fuse that is by the connection of the radio and sometimes that is all you need. Also you can buy a used radio. Estimate of 150 for the radio and 45 for the install.
