I would have a professional shop check for the system out. If the freon level goes low it will disable the A/C compressor to keep it from damaging itself. If there is a leak in the system you want to get it addressed as soon as you can so the system does not sit open and collect moisture inside.

i have the same problem. what is the cost? told it was an actuator problem that needs to be replaced
