Was told last week on this site coolant was low and to clean drain

mastertech6371, I tried to reply, but could not. The answer I got last week said, if the A.C. shut off and said,service A.C. this meant the coolant was low. This is why the mechanic my husband knew added coolant. He works from his home. Will he know how to remove the coolant?
