Transmission will not shift into Drive; Center Console Lever

Sounds like maybe the shift lever interlock is still engaged and not allowing the transmission shift lever to be moved from the park position. The shift lever interlock releases when the brake pedal engages - when it triggers then brake light switch. Do your brake lights function properly? If not, look at the switch and wiring as possible areas of concern related to both brake light functionality and the shift lever movement.
