there is no leak ! since we replaced the thermostat the fans wont kick on what do i do to make them work ?

you need to find out if, in fact that they work. if they do, then the control for the cooling fans needs to be diaged. when you said you had to add water when it cooled down, did you opo the cap and it overflowed or was it low?? thats why I told you to have it checked for a leak. how long has it been overheating?? first it was coming out the overflow and when i opened the cap when it was cooled down it was real low . 2 x's it told me to idle and then shut off engine and shut down. its been doing it for about a week when i had it checked before it they said it was fine and replace an old clamp and then i started having the troubles with it 2 days later.

you may have a bad cap. this will not stop the fans from turning on. roy
