I believe my problem is there is not enough freon in the system. I need to make the compressor come on so I can add freon. How can I override the dash controls to make the compressor come on? Thank you

The system has a Low Pressure switch that shuts down the compressor so that if the charge is lost the system will not cause catastrophic failure. This switch is located between the passenger strut tower and firewall on the passenger side. The switch has two wires pink and dark green it shuts off the compressor if system pressure is less that 10 psi. If the system has a leak it really needs to be fixed rather than just adding refrigerant.
