Why is my 2000 cadillac deville cranking but not starting ?

My car just hit the 105k mark so a week ago i was driving came to a stop sign went through stop sign and started to notice my car was starting to putt and lose power i stepped on gas( Pedal to the floor) and it started gaining speed but really slow had to coast home in nutueral got home shut car off went back out 20mins later started the car took it outta park and into drive and stepped on brake and pressed gas a little it putted then died put gas in it the next day seeing as my gas gauge goes from empty to full every 3 mins (usually eather the needle stays on empty or full it works when it wants) anyways it started up so drove around the block it died when i got home so got a fuel pump from junk yard threw it in got a brand new fuel filter that i forgot to put the washer back on when replacing it...started right up drove all night lastnight come out to start car this.morning and i usually gotta turn key twice and step on gas for it to start latley (usually starts on first turn )( TroubleColdStartingANDWONTSTARTJUSTCRANKS

What makes this problem better or worse?

Cranks but wont start think ima go buy brand new fuel pump tomorrow

How long has your 1995 Cadillac DeVille had this problem?

The fuel filter did leak when i turned on car still drove it around block and when i got home it wasnt leaking anymore
