What is your question?
Hello, I recently bought a 2011 CTS. It has a rebuilt title, and I know it's been through some stuff, but it gets me where I need to go for now. The current issue I'm having is, most of the time when it rains, the alarm system goes off. This causes the horn to go off and annoy my neighbors. Can I just pull the fuse for the anti theft system? Or even just pull the fuse for the horn? I plan on having it checked out, but I currently disconnect the battery every night so that I don't bother anyone, or have to wake up at 4 AM to turn it off. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you, David

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Ah, the joys of a rebuilt title. I like to think of them as the six-million-dollar man! Built back better, faster, stronger! As for your 2011 Cadillac CTS’s anti-theft system getting a little too excited in the rain—pulling the fuse for the horn would stop the noise, but not the root issue. And disconnecting the battery every night? That’s a workout no one asked for! The rain likely triggers some short in the system. You could disable the horn temporarily by pulling the fuse, but that fuse may not just cover the horn. Make sure of that before you drive it! I’d recommend getting that anti-theft system checked out sooner rather than later to avoid any unintended drama (and neighbors planning a revolt).
